I have entered the contest for election to the 24th Senate District of
California for the following reasons.
The state of California is being driven to bankruptcy by the unwise spending programs of the present Democrat Governor and the Democrat controlled legislatures. The state is expending over one million dollars per hour than it is receiving. The present
administration inherited a surplus of over 20 Billion dollars and in four years has turned the surplus into a 12 billion dollar deficit. The current rate of spending and the poor economy will result in an additional 20 billion deficit in 2003.
Spending has increased 38% while the population growth was only 13%. Over one million jobs have been lost by the exodus of business from this state, as companies leave California to more business friendly
states. Our schools are ranked next to last in the nation in spite of spending more per student than any other state. The cost per pupil is over $9700 per school year, yet California's private schools turn out superior students at half the cost. The
dismal conditions in California are a clear condemnation of the spending policies of the present Democrat controlled legislature.
I am against the promotion of the homosexual agenda, hiding under the phrase of "reducing hate crimes." My opponent has promoted and co-authored a same sex marriage bill and has voted for every single piece of legislation to implement the homosexual
agenda into our public school curriculum.
California deserves more for its citizens. I am running for the State Senate to give California and the voters of the 24th Senate a choice. I will work to reduce spending, lower taxes, improve our schools by empowering local school boards with a greater
role in determination of curriculum, and reduce government to a manageable size. I am a Pro-life, Pro-family, Pro- 2nd Amendment, and pro business and jobs candidate.
