al., that they would allow the City of New London, Connecticut to take the property of private citizens for commercial division. Similar to the action taken on May 28, 2002 the Cypress City Council in California with the Board of Directors of the
Cypress Redevelopment agency voted to condemn the land purchased for the construction of a new Church building by Cottonwood Christian Center.
The city intended to give Cottonwood's property to Costco Wholesale Corporation, or a developer that builds a tax-generating facility. Do you support governmental entities using eminent domain laws for the benefit of commercial ventures or enterprises?

This was a three (3), with Supervisors Burke, Molina and Yaroslavsky voting in favor of the demands of the ACLU and two (2) Supervisors, Antonovich and Knabe, voting against the decision to negotiate with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) over
its threat to sue unless a small cross is removed from the county seal, rather than to fight the threatened lawsuit.
Zev Yaroslavsky one of the three (3) voting for removal said: "I don't personally believe that any religious symbol on any government seal is appropriate."
