___As a long-time Downey resident, a graduate
of Downey schools, a former employee of Downey Unified
School District, and the parent of children who
attended Downey schools, I am familiar with the
district from all aspects. Therefore I am well
qualified to represent the citizens of Downey on their
school board. I have met many citizens and listened to
their comments on our schools, our board members and
their policies and decisions. As a result, I do not
believe the incumbent truly represents the views of the
majority of people in Downey. I pledge to do so. As a
leader in various groups, I have learned the importance
of listening to others before making decisions. I will
be completely accessible to the citizens of Downey. I
value their input and will respond to their concerns.
